I travel about 60 miles to visit it.  I would have given it FIVE stars because I like the owner and what she is trying to do. Her creations for the Shop that Did Not Hop are fantastic!  I like the Youtube videos a lot-- very helpful.
I have two orders pending with this company. One placed 6/3/17 and the next placed 7/8/17. Both show "awaiting fulfillment ". When I emailed asking the status I got a reply stating they are behind and I can call and cancel the order if I wish. I want the supplies so I won't cancel YET!!   My credit card has been charged for both orders. I can assure you I will NOT order from this company again.   Even though their prices may be slightly lower than other companies waiting this long for delivery takes away the advantage of the lower prices. Over all I am EXTREMELY Disappointed.
Hello Hello Everyone! We have a great class for you today working with a stamp set that you might not know what to do with! It is the most perfect background stamp...ever! But, by just looking at it, it might be more than a bit confusing! So, today, we play! We play with all watercolor pencils. We play with several of these SMS Exclusive Stamp and Die Sets by Stampendous. And we play with an amazing and affordable backgrounds... stamp....ever!
I have been buying from Stacey since I found her about three years ago.  I love her video classes and she is so real you can't help but love her.  The only reason I didn't give this review 5 stars is because of the shipping times.  Yes!!! She means it ship when it ships. She tells you up front so don't grow impatient.  You will get your stuff and you will be happy with it.  I ordered from the last big sale (July 16, 2016) and still haven't gotten my product.  The thing is....you can't get the SMS products anywhere else.  Her products are exclusive and really good and the prices are fair.  She tries to give you as much for your money as she possibly can.  She really cares.  I have never been to the store (it is on my bucket list) but I have learned so much from her.  All I can say is that the SMS products are yummy and she is so cute and the SMS team is doing the best they can.  Have some patience - it's hard I know but it will be well worth it!

This is a really cute store with everything you need for cards and scrapbooking. I came here for their "garage sale" and bought wonderful things for unbelievable prices. Their normal items are at reasonable also. BUT...if you order anything online it takes a very long to receive, regardless of "shop that didn't hop" sales. I've been waiting 10 weeks and they still cannot give me a delivery time of my products, some items are in stock but will be delivered with the "close out" items. Very disappointing.

Also, also on a good note, I've seen a few of Stacey's videos and have learned some things.  For instance, now i know the difference between a Sizzix Big Kick and a Sizzix Big Shot!  And now i know why I don't see the Big Shot in Joann's or Michael's!  (I hear more of the Big Shot than the Big Kick, so I wanted to find out the difference between them.)

Scrapbooking crops (or "Crops") are events where 2 or more scrapbookers gather to work in a social circle on their books, cards or other projects. It is similar to the old quilting bees that used to be socially prevalent, but has been replaced by today's "Crop". Attendees bring specific supplies themselves to work on said projects and sometimes there are vendors at these events to purchase any extra scrapbooking needs. At these events ideas are shared, techniques are taught to one another, products used (e.g. cutting machines such as, Silhouette & Cricut) are learned about and attendees have a few hours to days of uninterrupted time to work on their scrapbooks, cards, or any project they are needing to accomplish. Events are planned informally at one's home, a church hall or establishments with meeting rooms to the larger attended crops that encompass days of time in a hotel, where the attendee stays in the same hotel and works in the large ballroom or conference rooms in the hotel with tens to hundreds of attendees. Some of the ways to learn about events are mainly through word of mouth, social media and community postings.
I purchased the Beloved Kaleidoscope die collection and absolutely love them. It took over a month to receive, but well worth the wait! I called to check on my order by phone and was helped by Claire. Claire was wonderful and fun to chat with. Thank you to Stacey for the wonderful Youtube demos, and I will be shopping with you again soon.....hoping to be able to visit the store if I can get hubby to drive me to SoCal.
While some people prefer the physicality of the actual artifacts they paste onto the pages of books, the digital scrapbooking hobby has grown in popularity in recent years.[25] Some of the advantages include a greater diversity of materials, less environmental impact, cost savings, the ability to share finished pages more readily on the internet, and the use of image editing software to experiment with manipulating page elements in multiple ways without making permanent adjustments.[26] A traditional scrapbook layout may employ a background paper with a torn edge. While a physical page can only be torn once and never restored, a digital paper can be torn and untorn with ease, allowing the scrapbooker to try out different looks without wasting supplies. Some web-based digital scrapbooks include a variety of wallpapers and backgrounds to help the users create a rich visual experience. Each paper, photo, or embellishment exists on its own layer in your document, and you can reposition them at your discretion.[27]
You might not know this, but the Anita's brand of products is part of the DoCrafts family! Their Foiled Decoupage is some of the very best that you can find! It is both stunning and affordable all at the same times! Each of the sheets below will let you make not 1, not 2 but 3 wonderful embellishments... for your cards, layouts, tags, gift bags...heck....just about everything! And, the very best part is that they are only $1.50 per sheet...Yep...even with all that yummy foiling they have added!

With their new site, customers now have the option to pay with paypal when it comes time for your order to be packaged.  If you need something now and can't get to the store, order it elsewhere.  I hate to send business away from such a great store and such wonderful people, but it is what it is.  I only order online what I don't need right away, can't get to the store, and/or when I want to take advantage of the amazing deals they have that you can't get anywhere else.  They also carry product you can't get anywhere else at times.  I am fortunate enough to be close enough to make the trip to her store when I need to most of the time.

Doodles, photos, sketches, paintings, oh my! Journals are more free-form and try to capture the essence of the moment without being too precious about it. Perfectionists need not apply here. Let yourself relax (it’s ok to do this while on vacation AND when you return to real life) and let your mind and hand wander across your journal. You can create vintage looks with old magazines or glue, too.

I actually just got started into rubber stamping and die cutting and stuff. (I have had a Sizzix Big Kick machine for years, and haven't used it much.  Finding out that these die cuts that are available with some stamps work with this machine, got me into using it again!)  You see, I do cross stitch.  But the magazines I get from the bookstore comes from the uk.  And two magazines went out of production, so there aren't many  cross stitch designs for cards, anymore.  So i thought i would try cross stitching designs with rubber stamping (cling/clear, whatever you call it) combined!
Whatever theme you've chosen for your scrapbook, you'll need a few essentials to get started. First, you'll need an album and its basic contents: cardstock, patterned paper and page protectors. Next, you need a selection of tools and supplies, including pencils, coloured markers, adhesives, a ruler and a page trimmer. Embellishments are an exciting part of scrapbooking. Your choice of ribbons, glitter or 3D stickers will inject your personality into your scrapbook and make the individual pages stand out. Staying organized is essential: a basic storage system will help keep your mind and workspace tidy so you can focus on being creative and having fun.

So, here it is, once again, my shout out to those of you in sunny California. This weekend, pass up coming to SMS. Instead, take your crafty budget, regardless of if it is big or small, and make the trip to see Wooten's Scrapbook Store. They are having a wonderful SALE along with selling off their fixtures! And, who doesn't need storage for all of your stash.
2.5 stars. Generally, the examples are way too busy for my tastes (I think they are trying to sell more products.) Good basic ideas and layouts for beginners. Offers lots of encouragement. Covers everything from fonts to cropping to creating your work space to embellishments to album ideas. As a long time scrapbooker, I found it was NOT made easy, simply because there was so much in it.

This book was created by the makers of the Simple Scrapbooks magazine. It's a great resource for people who want to create simple and contemporary scrapbooks. It's well organized and has all kinds of great tips for a beginner scrapbooker and examples to inspire advanced scrapbookers. There are plenty of ideas for scrapbook albums, layouts, journaling, use of colors and patterns, etc. Probably the best scrapbooking book I've read so far.
There are SO many ways to make travel memories last a lifetime. Snap pictures during your time on the long airplane or car ride, save maps from your road-trip, or arrange the scraps from some of your favorite haunts to make vacation memory scrapbooking (ok, ok, and shadow-box displays) easy as pie. (Scientific reminder: any pie eaten while on vacation results in weight LOSS, not gain. It’s vacation science.). Read on for the perfect travel scrapbook inspiration.

My wife goes to SMS quite literally all the time so I suppose you could say I go here all the time. I am not a scrapbook aficionado because I am quite literally "artistically challenged." I own it, I admit it, I don't try to pretend I'm anything I'm not. However, having been in this store as many times as I have with my wife, I feel the need to elaborate more specifically on the things the spouses of scrapbooking people might enjoy: + Clean restroom, always clean. Yes, we notice these things. + Lots of goodies for customers. Who doesn't like candy? + Staff is always super nice and friendly! + Stacy, the owner, is probably one of the nicest, most sincere people I've ever met. + Most important: There is a "husband chair." Suggestions: * Wi-Fi. Husbands like Wi-Fi. (A PlayStation wouldn't hurt either...) Warnings: It can get very crowded, especially when there is a sale--maybe not Costco proportions but crowded nonetheless. They have multiple registers open, and they're pretty efficient about getting people checked out. Cell service can be very spotty in the store. That's not a SMS problem but just be warned that you may not be able to make/receive calls reliably while you're in the store.
Also check out our selection of school memory books which are suitable for elementary, middle school, and high school. Plenty of free parking with no time limits because they have their own parking lot. This shop is in a center with 4 different food establishments. YES! If you're a scrapbooker, you know why that's important. And the no time limit parking. As soon as you enter, you'll see two work tables. I thought this was it... but then we ventured to the back and oh boy! That is a HUGE work area. Love it! Larger than any of the scrapbooking places I've been to in Orange County. I used to frequent 3 different ones. Some snacks and water are complementary... maybe I shouldn't have said that coz there might be some shameless people that would go and just grab the snacks without purchasing anything. But they are there for those scrapping. Hey, the longer you stay there, the more likely you are to buy more stuff. Yeah, I was only supposed to buy a couple of pages and cut a couple of things... I walked out with $40 worth of paper! The papers are kinda expensive, which is normal... but they don't have a sales rack, which I haven't seen before. The ladies are extremely helpful. I WILL BE BACK! THIS WEEK IF I CAN!!!

Once you have finished working on the scrapbook page, place it in a sheet protector, then into the scrapbook album. For easier addition of pages, three ring binders are highly recommended. Feel free to make as many pages as will fit comfortably in your scrapbook and when you finish one, you may begin a whole new process with another scrapbook album.
The following photographs show some of the pages from a "Memorial of Friendship" scrapbook kept by Anne Wagner, a British woman, between 1795 and 1834. She belonged to the same social circle as the poet Percy Bysshe Shelley. Anne Wagner's scrapbook includes pages she created, as well as contributions from friends and relatives. The scrapbook contains handwritten poems, notes left by friends and relatives, and decoupage ephemera like locks of hair, decorative paper clippings, ribbons, and detailed watercolour sketches.
