With their new site, customers now have the option to pay with paypal when it comes time for your order to be packaged. If you need something now and can't get to the store, order it elsewhere. I hate to send business away from such a great store and such wonderful people, but it is what it is. I only order online what I don't need right away, can't get to the store, and/or when I want to take advantage of the amazing deals they have that you can't get anywhere else. They also carry product you can't get anywhere else at times. I am fortunate enough to be close enough to make the trip to her store when I need to most of the time.
A couple of months went by and I contacted Stacey on her facebook page for the store 12/9/13 inquiring about our product. She told me our order was mailed out late October 2013 and she would contact USPS and if she had to then resend another order and call me to verify my address. I left my address on her facebook page and still have not heard from her as of DECEMBER 14, 2013 !!
This is a really cute store with everything you need for cards and scrapbooking. I came here for their "garage sale" and bought wonderful things for unbelievable prices. Their normal items are at reasonable also. BUT...if you order anything online it takes a very long to receive, regardless of "shop that didn't hop" sales. I've been waiting 10 weeks and they still cannot give me a delivery time of my products, some items are in stock but will be delivered with the "close out" items. Very disappointing.
Because I can't figure out how to edit my 10/15/14 review: My mid-July order arrived in November-- just short of FOUR MONTHS. I stay by my review, and agree with the reviewer that you shouldn't order something you need for a specific purpose or by a specific date. I ordered things for Halloween and fall craft fairs (thinking no guaranteed shipping would still get it to me in, say, two months) and ended up having to order a couple of things elsewhere! I will need to ebay the duplicates. Any savings I had disappeared. This store has the latest and greatest, but by the time you get it.... the stuff is no longer the "latest!" I will continue to visit when possible, but I will order elsewhere.
Just watched the owner of this business berate the employees at a local restaurant for about ten minutes. All while wearing the sweatshirt bearing her company logo and repeatedly touting the fact that she was a local business owner. Good for her I guess? Super professional of her. So go here if you support that kind of behavior. Or you could just hit up the local craft stores instead.

I go to SMS on a pretty regular basis because they have a great selection of product, some you might not see anywhere else. They also offer free make and takes, which are surely hard to come by these days especially with the amount of scrap-booking stores closing. Stacey and her staff are very helpful and very nice people. Yes, there are some difficulties with shipping certain items during certain times of the year, but that is because they truly are a Mom and Pop business. They don't have separate departments or a help line because they aren't Amazon, etc. They don't have items whisking by on conveyor belts being packed by hundreds of workers or robots, lol. I make a point to order the really good deals with no expectation of delivery dates (as Stacey says all the time, it ships when it ships), which I know can really put some people off. I look at it like this: "I may have to wait a while to get some items, but once I have it, I'm happy with my purchase and will many times have something that I couldn't get for the great price anywhere else". Also, I don't order something thinking that I will need it for a certain project trying to tell myself that it should be here in time. There are plenty of other things to purchase all over the internet for those projects! People who are complaining are probably not watching Stacey's YouTube videos, or are simply not understanding that "It ships when it ships" is the bottom line. They tell you truthfully , upfront so you have a chance to make the decision to purchase, so I feel it's very unfair to then get upset when your purchase doesn't arrive in a time frame that you decided would be acceptable in your own mind. So, after reading many reviews regarding the shipping....my advise would be just don't order if you have an issue with the shipping policy. There is always someone else out there (like me) who will gladly wait a bit longer knowing that I'm going to get a product that is extremely limited or exclusive to SMS for an exceptional price!! Stacey and her staff work very hard to bring truly exceptional and unique products to their customers, and offer imaginative ideas for using those products!! Patience is a virtue, but if you have none then oh well....your loss!! Just sayin.
Also, also on a good note, I've seen a few of Stacey's videos and have learned some things. For instance, now i know the difference between a Sizzix Big Kick and a Sizzix Big Shot! And now i know why I don't see the Big Shot in Joann's or Michael's! (I hear more of the Big Shot than the Big Kick, so I wanted to find out the difference between them.)
I have called monthly. Customer Service has been very polite but completely unable to do anything. They were "overwhelmed" with orders. They are currently processing orders from the first day of ordering-- but my order number is 200 higher than the batch they are currently processing. Since it has taken three months to get this far, they understandably cannot predict when mine will be processed. (Sarcasm intended.)
